I was born in 1985, at Whangarei Hospital in the north of New Zealand, with my Twin sister Jesse. I have been blessed to grow up alongside her, and my two half brothers Jackson & Julian.

I really started to take singing seriously  in my last year at Dargaville High school. Being the only male in the school choir brought with it free singing tuition and exposed me to the wonderful world of musical theater. It was the same year that I played in my first band 'Intoxic8'. Prior to the creation of this band, My earliest performance memory was coming second in a talent quest showcase performing the 'Eve 6' song 'Here's to the Night'. "The prize was $20 and I was so excited. That was huge money to me as a kid! Dargaville High was a tiny school in the North Island of New Zealand, there was only about 500 kids there. My real friends were the kids who had dreams and were not afraid to try and fail. They came from all different cliques and were just a great bunch of people who looked out for each other and didn't care what people thought. We had bands come to school and perform, and I was that kid right up the front loving every second. I was musical but not exceptional... Looking up at these bands, they were my idols!

My Mom forced both Jesse & I to learn guitar when we were 14. The catch was that we must learn for 6 months and could choose whether to continue or not from there. After a rocky start it turns out we both possessed natural talent in songwriting and singing... I guess I prefered to singing the most.

I moved to Auckland when I was 18, origionally trying to score a role Acting. I had a few small parts but nothing that lasted longer than one or two episodes. It was when I met Richard in 'Hometown Advantage' that I realised what being in a real band should feel like. I don't know what made me audition for Hometown, I had five pieces of paper with five possibilities, only one gave me a feeling of excitement so i called them straight away and organised an audition. I didn't even txt the other numbers, I just had a good feeling about it. It was the best introduction to a real music lifestyle and I learnt so much. I have never felt a buzz that equals what you feel on stage performing songs that you've written in your bedroom to a crowd of people singing them back to you louder than you can sing at them holding a microphone, I would recommend it to anyone!

Diesel Phoenix are my boys, words can't put together the crap we've been through, or the strength that we bring each other. I feel so blessed, and Im so proud to be sharing my life with these fine men.
