Whats better than fast cars and hot girls? maybe a good book on a winter morning or maybe grandmas hot cocoa or BURNOUT COMP 2010 featuring Diesel Phoenix!!!!

We have been confirmed to play as the feature band to highest paying burnout event in the southern hemisphere, Dargaville Burnout Comp 2010. It’s going to be huge, last year there were over 8000 people. I’m will be having coffee at ‘Blah blah blahs’ (Victoria Street, Dargaville) from 9:30-10:30am on Saturday the 13th Feb before the show, anyone who wants to come and hang out with me and the guys is more than welcome, bring your friends and family too, we’d love to meet them.

This Summer has been amazing, I’ve been lucky enough to spend a week in beautiful Paihia working hard on getting my tan even, and finalizing my plans for world domination.
I’m happy to announce that Al has arrived back in NZ safely after spending two months roaming through Egypt, Dubai, Kenya and a few others I’m not even going to attempt to spell. Its awesome to have him back, like finding that long lost sausage that rolled behind the fridge three years ago, words cannot describe the feeling of that kind of reunion.

We have some seriously cool things underway at the moment, though I am sworn to secrecy for the most part, the burnout comp in February is just the beginning and I can guarantee there is HEAPS more to come later in the year.

Happy new year 2010!!

Hope you had a wicked party that topped all new years parties around the globe That was the case for me… We spent new years at Detonate festival in Taranaki, playin’ with NZ’s best rock acts and partying true to the rock star code! – Alan however spent his new years in Kenya (don’t ask haha), so a huge rock fist goes out to Ben from Ethanol 58, who played bass for us !! SO WHO WON A DATE WITH THE BAND?
We had a great time going through all the entries to our DP Date competition, and we’re all impressed with all the creative ways our fans were promoting our new album… SO CONGRATULATIONS TO: Maddy, Izzy and Rita, you girls have won a date with Diesel Phoenix! – We were super impressed that they managed to get TV and Radio coverage promoting people to buy our new album – and here’s a vid where you check out what they got up to:

There were some delays in getting this released, mainly due to Santa not getting me what I asked for (I was not impressed – he’s going down next year!), but I can say that in the next 14 days I’ll have it all ready & flick you an email so you can be the first to see the new track

Here is a bit of inside info on how it works in TV land – Our single ‘First Kiss’ was deemed good enough to be played on both C4 & Juice TV here in NZ, but to maintain airplay (and steal airtime away from the Major Labels who carry a big influence with the TV networks) the stations need to see demand for our song in order to play it so we need you to unite with all the other DP fans & show these networks that you want to see our song played! These networks have a weekly chart based on song requests & with your help I know we can get into the charts so request as often as you can for First Kiss to be played – call and request, email, do anything you can think of to get our song played. Wanna Spend New Years With Me?

NEW YEARS EVE 2009!!

This year we are performing @ DETONATE FESTIVAL in Taranaki! – The festival is ALL AGES with, explosions & pyrotechnics (hence the name ‘Detonate’ duhh ), rides, entertainment & we are stoked to be sharing the stage with some seriously badass NZ bands like LUGA BOA, DEJA VOODO & a whole lot more.

It’s nearly Christmas Arghhhh!

I can’t believe we are so close to Christmas. Arghhh Scary, I haven’t even bought any presents yet!

We’ve had a huge couple of weeks, so sorry for the lack of communication from us. I’ll list it for you though so you can understand haha:)

-Juice TV Interview – Alan and I were interviewed for NZown. This will be played at 9pm Dec 10 on Juice TV
-Kiwi FM interview – Alan Logan and I had a chat with the lovely Fleur and played three tracks live to air (Should have the link for you to listen in very soon)
-Shot the video for a secret track that will be released prior to Christmas (No i’m not revealing any more)
-Christmas photoshoot planned for this weekend
-We have managed (with your help) to get first kiss on The Edge Night show, though not official, I have had fans tell me they have heard it, as well as the ZM night show, so you can request that for us if you wanna hear it
-First kiss is now being played on C4 and JUICE TV so please request the hell outa it to get it on Select

We have also been fixing some bugs with our email systems so hopefully you will all get this update.

Some of you have asked for extensions on the ‘Win a date with the whole band competition’ so because I’m feeling exceptionally nice and in the Xmas spirit (Watch the Juice TV Interview lol) I’m gonna say yes. I have extended the Competition to Christmas Eve.

Further more, it really is the support of our fans that has got us there, we released this album among an impressive list of international releases – we are currently ranked in the charts above such great acts as Green Day (one of my fav bands!) and our fans have helped this album reach public approval without radio play, television coverage, press features, or even a single cent of advertising spent by our band

1 DAY TO GO – ALBUM RELEASE!

There is only one day to go until the official release of our 2nd album ‘Here’s Something We Prepared Earlier’ and already we have had a huge number of presales come through. We’ve been crazy busy trying to get everything ready in time as well as some other exciting ideas that will go live on the night hehe but I’m not telling :p

Look forward to seeing all our NZ fans at the Transmission Room tomorrow night (Mayoral Drive, Auckland CBD) 7pm, every door sale will get a copy of our new album for free.
